Unlisted Ownership
Request to Have Unlisted Ownership on Property Assessor's Online Database
Pursuant to 2022 Public Chapter 996, an assessor of property may display "UNLISTED" in the ownership field of an online searchable database of property when the residential property owner files a written request with the assessor and clearly demonstrates to the assessor that the subject property is the primary residential property owner making the request. By submitting this form to the property assessor, the property owner officially requests the assessor to display "UNLISTED" in the ownership field of the assessor's online searchable database for the property listed below.
An assessor is not prohibited from responding to an open records request regarding the subject property or from providing information available through an open records request.
To find your home’s Parcel ID, go to KGIS Maps and put your address in the search bar. The Parcel ID will show up in the “Address Info” pop-up.
The ID format is split into 4 sections: Control Map (first 3 numbers), Group (two letters or blank space), Parcel (last 3 numbers), and Special Interest (any letters/numbers following).
For example, if your parcel ID was 099AA00102X, it would be broken up like this:
| 099 | AA | 001 | 02X |
|---|---|---|---|
| Control Map | Group | Parcel | Special Interest |
Your parcel may or may not have Group and/or Special Interest characters. If this is the case, leave those boxes blank.

Disclaimer: It is also important to understand that actual ownership records must continue to reflect the owner's name. So, property record cards, assessment rolls, etc. will continue to display the owner's name. Public Chapter No. 996 only addresses "the ownership field of an online searchable database," It does not provide authority to further suppress ownership records beyond that.
